The CICECO team was invited to be at the University of Aveiro Open Campus initiative to demonstrate the use of hydrogen as the energy vector, which we recall is the driving force of the UniRCell project. We had very busy sessions during these three days.

Particularly engaging were those with high school students. They could see and experiment with a true Unitised Reversible Fuel Cell operating first as an electrolyser producing hydrogen and oxygen using electricity generated by a small photovoltaic panel or a small wind turbine, and subsequently working as a fuel cell to produce electrical power from the stored gases.

We also had very interesting discussions with fellow researchers and professors about the project and fuel cells.
