Daniel Muñoz-Gil is the new Post-doctoral Associate in Aveiro

Daniel Muñoz-Gil has joined the Aveiro team as a Post-doctoral Associate since the 1st of May 2017.

Daniel graduated from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) in Chemistry, after which he pursued a Masters Degree in “Advance Chemistry”, also from UCM. He was granted a Marie-Curie fellowship to stay for 8 months in the University of Liverpool with Professor Matthew Rosseinsky’s prestigious research group at the Department of Chemistry.

He finished his European Ph.D in January 2016, whit the title “Structural characterisation and study of the electrochemical properties of oxide derived from GdBaCo2O5+δ. New materials as cathodes in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC)”.

Daniel has expertise in solid state chemistry, namely various synthetic methods (sol-gel and combustion), and structural characterization (X-ray diffraction, SAED, HRTEM, XEDS and EELS) and electrical-electrochemical characterization (impedance spectroscopy) of materials for potential application as cathodes in fuel cells.
